Nordgard's Gunnhildr "Gunny"

Gunnhildr, affectionately known as "Gunny," is the premier female in our pack. Originating from robust livestock guardian stock, Gunny exemplifies the traits of diligence and reliability in her work. She has been an unwavering protector of our livestock and premises, deterring various predators and unwelcome creatures. Despite her imposing figure, she shows a tender side with the family, yet remains vigilant and cautious around unfamiliar faces.

Gunny stands tall at 33 inches at the shoulder and tips the scales at 140 pounds. At the size of a male grey wolf, she epitomizes the qualities we cherish in a Nordgard Dog, blending strength, intelligence, grit, and loyalty. Gunny was born November 18, 2020.

Gunny is in excellent health, and has firmly established her reputation as an effective and dependable livestock guardian. She has no prey drive towards the livestock, yet will readily hunt any wild animal in the area. She will not back down from a fight, even when injured.
